“Hey, Internet -define: Barstool Astrologer.”
“OK,”
“A barstool astrologer is a playful term for someone whom you were destined to bump into – only to find out they’re skilled in relating cosmic energies/zodiacal interpretations through a grounded, casual, often humorous fashion. The short but sweet wisdom imparted to you may sound like blunt advice over a drink at a local pub.”
Ah, brace yourselves! (just kidding -I’m nice:) Here’s a little more about what I have to offer.
I’ve been a student of Jyotish (aka Vedic Astrology) since 2016. I aim to offer astrological resources that are approachable and relatable without being too heavy with technical lingo. Astrology has been a very useful language for me to learn, but as I’ve started my chart reading practice, I’ve found it can be a bit dizzying at times. I’ve also observed how important it is for ALL of us, especially those interested in the realms of spirit, to stay grounded. In fact, from my perspective that’s the entire point of being incarnated on Earth. Let’s BE HERE NOW. We need to develop our own skills for navigating the psyche and cultivating ourselves without outsourcing to authorities, or AI. My goal is to live a full and spirited life – to the best of my potential. I’d like to share with you some of the tools I’ve developed.
Along this path, I’ve branched out into several other modalities such as hypnosis, shamanic journeying, and energy work. I went to college in San Francisco at CIIS and got a BA in Psychology and Integrative Arts. I also trained in Quantum martial arts and therapeutic yoga for over a decade including studying abroad in India. I’ve worked as a professional artist with experience building giant flaming sculptures for festivals such as Burning Man. I love to get my hands dirty, make things, and be immersed in all that life has to offer. Every playing field that I’ve enjoyed so far is rich with higher meaning. Some parts of life are more glorious than others, but from my perspective, there is always a holy aspect to glean truth from. A little insight can take us far on the journey of becoming.
