Happy as a Pig… (Spirit Animal Totem)

I know what you’re thinking, pigs are dirty and live in their own excrement! Despite this negative stereotype, these animals are actually wonderful omens. They will not live in shit, unless forced to. They’re clean, affectionate, and super smart when well supported within their environments.

If the spirit of Pig has entered your life as an omen, dream, or vision – be thankful. Here’s your opportunity to up-level your lifestyle to invite abundance. The trick is to ask yourself about what you are surrounded by including people, places, and substances. We consume energy from our settings, and then take on those qualities.  Just as a Pig does. 

These animals need proper living conditions to thrive and so do you.  Including plenty of activity and social outlets to stimulate their high levels of intelligence. If boredom ensues, they can enter into aggressive tendencies towards their mates. At their best, pigs teaches us how to consume energy from others around us and turn it into playful, joyous outward expressions of physicality and creativity. They want to bounce around full of abundance and joy!

However, if you are working all day around people who exude stress then you will no-doubt become stressed yourself. Here’s your opportunity to think about the qualities of the people around you, your environment in general, and what you are consuming and therefore becoming. Perhaps, you’ll choose to spend time with friends who you view as wise or talented in some way that you aspire to. If living around others who are negative then Pig may tend towards anger because that is what he consumed from his playmates, internalized, and then expressed. If unhappy, they’re also in danger of feeling heavy, overburdened, or “stuck in the mud.” Mud can be cooling and grounding when we feel overwhelmed or hot, but just as with all things, balance is best. 

If you choose to take on the challenge of what Pig has to teach, then watch out – you may be found with a big fat smile across your face! You’ll be squealing with excitement and enjoying your playmates’ silly antics. The best piggy energy is the conscious consumer who becomes full of energy, vitality, and abundant joy.
